Single-crystal structure analysis

Although tri- and tetrametaphosphimates have been studied extensively, only a few single-crystal structure analyses had been conducted until recently. Tables III and IV, respectively, give a summary of the crystallographic data of all hitherto known structures. 

Single crystal structural analyses of K2[ZnF4] and K3[Zn2F7] have been reported.1043 Although the [ZnF4]2 ion is perfectly tetrahedral, the [Zn2F7]3 ion shows a shortening of the terminal Zn—F bonds. 

Single crystal structure analyses have been carried out on the complexes (R/S)-[Me2SiCp" ( + )-neomenthyl Cp ]YCH(SiMe3)2, (R)-[Me2SiCp" (- )-menthyl Cp"]SmCH(SiMe3)2 (Fig. 5), (R)-[Me2SiCp" ( - )-menthyl Cp ]... 

In conclusion, XDS studies of numerous TMTSF systems have provided a great deal of information on the nature of the anion-ordering transitions that occur at various temperatures. However, detailed single-crystal structural analyses are still required in order to determine the precise structural changes associated with these transitions. 

The discovery by Wu et al. (1) of superconductivity at 9SK in a mixed-phase sample in the Y-Ba-Cu-0 system has stimulated an unprecedented amount of research effort directed at solving the structures of the phase(s) responsible for superconductivity. In this paper we will present the results of the first single-crystal structure analyses of the phases present in these samples to be carried out (2), and then review the additional structural information now available in relation to the previously determined structures of other oxygen defect perovskites. 

X-Ray single crystal structure analyses of thiophene 1,1 -dioxides (Fig. 2) have been reported. Dipole moments of thiophene 1,1-dioxides (Fig. 3) were experimentally determined or theoretically calculated.
