Single cross-polarization

Single-Cross Polarization. A typical magic-angle nmr spectrum of labeled soybean cotyledons Is shown In Figure 3 (left). This spectrum was obtained from five Intact lyophlllzed cotyledons, grown for 14 days on 4- C- N (amide)-asparagine. 

CAL-4 was prepared according to the procedure described in reference 2. Powder XRD confirmed the absence of contaminant phases. 13C MAS NMR spectra were recorded under cross polarization conditions (CPMAS). Single-crystal XRD data were collected at room temperature using MoK radiation.

Observations of crystals between crossed polarizers are particularly valuable in the case of some of those twin combinations which in their external shape simulate a single crystal having a symmetry higher than that of one of the individuals.
