Simulation of the curves displaying a plateau

The Zener diode appears to be the simplest element able to fulfill this task. 

We note that for a critical voltage Ui, a plateau appears, but its duration is not significant enough to represent a function of the applied voltage. 

To better understand the kinetic aspect of a model based on a self-regulating process of the diffusion, it was necessary to choose an electronic component better adapted than the Zener diode to the simulation of the phenomenon. 

This study enables us to eonfirm that the shape of the experimental eurves eannot be explained by variations in the eoncentrations of defects in the oxide, bnt by the diffusion of these defects in the bnlk. Furthermore, it is necessary to acconnt for a self-regnlating phenomenon linked to the appearance of an electric field, whose intensity is a function of oxygen pressure.
