Simple Combinations of Electrical Elements

The circuit elements can be connected in series or in parallel. The basic rule for the calculation of the circuits is for an electric circuit with elements in series connection, the total impedance is the sum of the impedances of the individual elements for an electric circuit with elements in parallel connection, the total [Pg.143]

In Chapter 2, we presented different combinations of electrical elements (resistor, capacitor, and conductor). In this chapter we now present several typical circuits for electrochemical systems, along with their corresponding impedance calculations. [Pg.144]

Based on the primary rales, the overall impedance of an RC circuit in series can be expressed as [Pg.145]

the impedance of this model is calculated by adding their impedances [Pg.147]

Based on Euler s formula, the total impedance can be separated into real and imaginary parts  [Pg.153]
