Not only can cordierite monoliths be produced by extrusion, but the technique can be used to produce monoliths of other materials, such as SiC, B4C, Si3N4, BN, AIN, AI2O3, Zr02, mullite, A1 titanate, ZrB2, and sialon [15,16].
