Benny Shanon, Professor of Psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, has conducted numerous psychological studies of ayahuasca, the plant-based psychotropic brew from the Amazon. The research reported in his book The Antipodes of the Mind comes from his own experiences and numerous interviews with people from all walks of life.
