A full account is now available of the synthesis of the alkaloids ( )-7-e/ i-deoxynupharidine and ( )-l-e/n-7-ep/-deoxynupharidine (cf. Vol. 8, p. 71) it has been extended to the synthesis of ( )-deoxynupharidine and 1-epi-deoxy-nupharidine.21
