Servetus, Michael

Michael Servetus, Spanish-born physician and discoverer of the pulmonary circulation, is burned alive as a heretic in Geneva. Servetus s first work, De Trinitatis Erroribus (On the Erroneousness of the Trinity), published in 1531, in which he questions the tripersonality of the Godhead and the eternal life of Jesus, makes him a heretic in the eyes of both Catholics and Protestants. [Pg.296]
