Sequential dechlorination steps

In order to determine the reaction pathway for 1,2-dichlorobenzene, Schiith fitted kinetic data and found that the primary pathway was direct reaction to benzene with a parallel reaction of sequential dechlorination through chlorobenzene to benzene.
