5 Separation of Variables for Parabolic PDEs with Nonhomogeneous Boundary Conditions 

In the previous examples, both of the boundary conditions were homogeneous. For non-homogeneous boundary conditions, the separation of variables method cannot be applied directly. Alternatively, functionality in x (w(x)) is introduced to take care of the non-homogeneity of the boundary conditions and separation of variables method is applied for the original partial differential equation with the homogeneous boundary conditions.
