Semantic capabilities

Quillian, M.R., Word Concepts A Theory and Simulation of Some Basic Semantic Capabilities, Behavioral Sci., 12, 410, 1967. [Pg.32]

In class 11, in spite of the fixed specification, the lack of information about the environment causes unpredictable constraints in solving the problem. To deal with this problem, it is required to be capable to detect and adapt to the resulting constraint through interaction with the environment during the system runs. Learning and adaptation-based approaches such as reinforcement learning, adaptive behavior, and behavior-based are feasible for this class of problems. Eixed semantics and adaptive syntax characterize the model in this class. [Pg.459]

The WSML [27] is a formal language for the semantic markup of web services. It is used to describe a semantic web service in terms of its functionality (service capability), imported ontologies, and interface to enable access. WSML syntax mainly derives from F-logic. It also has a normative human-readable syntax, an XML and RDF syntax. WSML comes in five variants that are WSML-Core, WSML-DL, WSML-Flight, WSML-Rule and WSML-FuU. [Pg.140]

Control flow and activities have been given major thrust in most of the process languages. This is possible only when equal and more importance have been allotted to various resources such as personnel, systems, and other physical entities. Proper specification resource capability, policies for resource allocations are major semantic issues in actual process definition language. [Pg.967]
