Selenious acid-selenite system

The enthalpy of formation of H2Se03(cr) is obtained indirectly. Selivanova and Pakho-rukov [61SEL/PAK] measured the enthalpy changes of the reactions  [Pg.136]

Jannek and Meyer [13JAN/MEY] made similar measurements at room temperature in the dilution range 1 400 to 1 500 and obtained (Se02, cr) = [Pg.137]

With the selected value of the enthalpy of formation of Se02(cr) and the enthalpy of formation of H20(l) from [89COX/WAG] Af//° (H2Se03, cr, 298.15 K) = -(524.7210.65) kJ-mol is obtained. Reference [82WAG/EVA] reports -524.46 kJ-moP. The review selects  [Pg.137]

No low temperature heat capacity measurements of H2Se03(cr) have been found. An estimated value of the standard entropy 5°(H2Se03, cr, 298.15 K) = (116.0 14.0) J K -moP is derived below from measurements of Reaction (V.17). [Pg.137]

The equilibrium constant of the dehydration reaction H2Se03(cr) Se02(cr) + H20(g) [Pg.137]
