Selenide Thin Layers on Titanium

Titanium metal substrates (50 X 10 X 0.6 mm) are cleaned thoroughly with 200-grade emery paper on about half the length of one side, followed by wip- 

Since ZnCl2 is used as a flux it is quite possible that a Zn-rich phase exists, particularly at the surface of each CdSe crystallite. After surface etching, however, it is not likely that an appreciable amount of Zn remains in the layer. 

Spectral response of the CsSe, measured as for CdSe0. 6sTeo. 35 in Section A, shows an effective band gap of 1.75 eV.
