Second and third virial coefficients at given temperature

SECOND AND THIRD VIRIAL COEFFICIENTS AT GIVEN TEMPERATURE 

To calculate the second and third virial coefficients of ethane at 25 C. 

Measurements of the pressure p and the concentration d of ethane were made by Michels and Nederbragt (Phyaca, 1939, 6, 656). Their values at 25 °C are given in table 1. 

From these values of B and C values of q have been calculated and are given in the last column of table 2. It will be seen that these are in good agreement with the experimental values.
