Sebertia acuminata

Hybanthus spp. New Caledonia 2 species leaves Pearsonia metallifera-, Rhodesia leaves Planchonella oxyedra-, southeast Asia leaves Psychotria douarre r, New Caledonia leaf Sebertia acuminata-, New Caledonia Latex Leaves... 

Until recently, there had been no record of nickel plants from South America. However, Brooks et al. (1990) have now identified 12 hyperaccumulators from ultramafic soils in Goias State. Among them is a Jatropha sp. (Euphorbiaceae) with a creamy latex containing 1.35% Ni on a dry weight basis. This is analogous to Sebertia acuminata from New Caledonia.
