Screw output loss

The theory quoted assumed no leakage over the screw flights. Worn screws give better mixing, but at a disproportionate loss in output rate, illustrated in a graph by Colbert described by Lupton [12]. 

Do not leave SPS resin in a stopped machine for more than 5 min to prevent melting onto the screw and subsequent loss of output.
