Schestakov process

The ammonia of Raschig synthesis process is replaced by urea in Schestakov process. 

This process chemistry is analogous to the Hofmann degradation of amides to primary amines. However, due to several drawbacks including those of the Raschig process, the urea-based Schestakov process has not been employed commercially.
