Right transversal

FIG. 1. Right, transverse, and left colon (adapted from Ref. 4). [Pg.40]

Fig. 116. Left Temperature dependence of the rate A of muon-spin depolarization caused by electronic dipole moments on the Ce ions of CeRhSb (squares) and Lao,Ce 9RhSb (circles). Right Transverse field (lOmT) muon spin precession firequency of CeRhSb as a function of temperature. From Lidstrom et al. (1997). Fig. 116. For example, on palpation, the transverse process of the fourth thoracic vertebra is more prominent posteriorly on the right. Is it part of a somatic dysfunction complex involving three planes and six motions on a helical axis The vertebra is placed into a position of flexion. The right transverse process becomes more prominent posteriorly. It is assumed that this has happened because there is a barrier preserrt to the motion of flexion, and the vertebra is resporrding according to the rale of the effect of resistance on linear motion. That is, on meeting this flexion barrier, the vertebra turns away from and arotmd it in the direction of allowable freedom of motion, or right rotation. [Pg.37]

The quantity on the right-hand side of this equation is not completely specified since the decomposition of Wf (Rj,) into its longitudinal and transverse parts given by Eq. (24) is not unique. By using that decomposition and the property of... [Pg.194]

The coatings produced by metal spraying have an unusual structure which is characteristic of the method of formation. They are composed of small particles usually not more than 0-01 mm in diameter which, having reached the surface in the molten condition, have splashed outwards and then solidified. Figure 12.27 (left) shows in section the irregular form of the flattened particles. In transverse section the surface profile is undulating (Fig. 12.27 (right)). [Pg.422]

This downward moving stream next collides with a transverse thinned glider-stream consisting of all empty glider-bit positions except for the tenth, which always contains a glider. The output stream on the right can therefore have a glider only in... [Pg.148]

Helical undulators build on this principle by using two orthogonal magnetic field arrays [82, 83]. These permit transverse excursions in perpendicular x and y directions. If the arrays have a relative longitudinal shift, this introduces a phase to the induced perpendicular excursions and when the phase is 90° the electron trajectory can follow left- or right-handed corkscrew paths The emitted radiation is correspondingly right- or left-handed CPL. [Pg.300]
