The synthetic strategy reported above (Eq. 6) has been previously employed for the preparation of mixed-valence RhlilRhl complexes containing the (/x-pz )(/x-Cl) moiety. Treatment of [(C5Me5)RhCl2(Hpz)] with [Rh(acac)(tfbb)J afforded 139, which was characterized by an X-ray crystal structure determination (79). This heterobridged complex contains two rhodium atoms in two different formal oxidation states (Rh111 and Rh1), with pseudooctahedral and square planar coordinations, respectively. [Pg.188]
