Rhenium trioxo compounds

Compared with the large number of rhenium(VII) trioxo complexes there are relatively few reports on dioxo and monoxo compounds. They are mainly derived from rhenium(VII) oxyfluor-ides or contain catecholato ligands. [Pg.278]

A trioxo(pyrazolyl)rhenium(VII) complex, 03Re(pz), of unclarified pz-hap-ticity, was recently reported (178). This complex was obtained by reacting a frozen solution of Re207 with solid Na(pz). Its IR spectrum exhibits a strong WRe=0) band at 913 cm-1, characteristic of a perrhenate anion, which may indicate that the structure of this compound may be more complex than supposed. [Pg.210]

VJhen the title compound, trioxo(r)5-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)-rhenium(VII) (1), was discovered in our laboratory by Serrano [1], there was much surprise about the existence and stability of this material. No one would have predicted that such a pleasant and versatile chemistry would be developed from this discovery. Some basic, synthetically useful reactions have been described in a number of... [Pg.198]
