Returning a McLeod Gauge to Atmospheric Conditions

If you must return a McLeod gauge to atmospheric conditions, such as would be necessary for periodic regreasing of the stopcocks, the following procedures should be observed  [Pg.414]

Slowly open the two-way stopcock (to system) allowing mercury into the McLeod gauge. [Pg.414]

Partially open the three-way stopcock to the atmosphere (Position 1). [Pg.414]
