Relations of MKE with the Surrounding Society

MKE was, in general, not involved in political issues. However, in 1908 a letter was sent to all the members of the Government, in which the society wanted to lay down the chemists situation in the regulations to be issued about the rights of civil servants.In the letter it was claimed  [Pg.175]

Secret records on civil servants, in use until then, should be abolished as they were unjust and humiliating, moreover not in keeping with the views of the age  [Pg.175]

All civil servants should be able to apply for being entitled, after 35 years of service, to a full pension, like those working for the State Railways or the Capital. According to statistical data, working with poisonous gases and vapours can attack the respiratory organs of chemists. Thus it would be fair and justified if chemists - both civil servants and teachers were entitled to a full pension after 30 years of service  [Pg.175]

The promotion of chemists in civil service should be equal to that of those who had graduated in law. [Pg.175]

On other occasions the society participated in the preparation of a law draft on patents as far as the rights of employees in relation to their patented [Pg.175]
