Reference to the Active Cell or a Selected Range of Cells

MAKING A REFERENCE TO THE ACTIVE CELL OR A SELECTED RANGE OF CELLS 

You may wish to create a macro that operates on the contents of a user-selected cell or range. To do this you can use either the ActiveCell keyword or the Selection keyword. 

Note the difference between the active cell and the selection Selection can be a range of cells or a single cell ActiveCell (always a single cell) refers to the cell in the upper-left comer of a range if applied to a range of cells.
