Rectification faradic

In work [27], the Zn(II)/Zn(Hg) electrode process was investigated in 0.5 M MgS04 solutions at 25°C by ac and faradic rectification polarography. The Zn(II)/Zn(Hg) electrode reaction was considered as a two-step process. The kinetic parameters of both steps were evaluated. 

The first term in Eq. (13) represents the expected dc response (zero th harmonic or faradic rectification component) attributable to an ac perturbation. The second term gives the odd-order harmonic response, and the last term gives the even harmonics.
