2 Recovery of kinetic energy at the entry to a fixed blade (nozzle) 

We may analyse the loss in kinetic energy in exactly the same way as was done in Section 15.8.1, and arrive at the conclusion that there will be a loss of kinetic energy at the entrance to the fixed blade/nozzle. However, the effect of the nozzle will be to reconvert essentially all the enthalpy gained back into kinetic energy. This phenomenon is discussed further in Section 16.2.
