This technique is only applicable for waste gas streams that do not contain H2S. To avoid contamination with H2S, the gases are treated in a NaOH washer prior to the adsorption unit.

With this technique, the H2S rich exhaust streams from the spinning frames are treated. 

In the so-called Sulfosorbon process, H2S is converted to elementary sulphur, which can be extracted with CS2. A separation column enables the subsequent separation of sulphur and CS2.
