Reactions in Electric Discharge

Under ionizing radiation, i.e. in radiation chemistry, it is the ionization by electron impact, the ion-molecule reactions, the recombination of ions that provide a substantial, sometimes basic contribution to the chemical result of the gross process. For this reason, these reactions will be discussed separately. Naturally, besides the above-mentioned elementary processes, atom and radical reactions also play an important role in radiation-chemical reactions, just as in electron discharge.
