Randles-Seveik equation

A reduction in peak current after addition of the metal is also observed. This results from changes in the diffnsion coefficient of the complex compared to the free ligand, which in turn is caused by the increase in molecular weight as expected from the Randles-Seveik equation. This may therefore not be a direct measure of the binding affinity for the metal ion by the ligand even though it has been used as a means of quantification by other researchers in which the metal ion is usually the redox probe [66-68]. We therefore chose to express the binding activity by... [Pg.134]
