Phenoxybutyric acid [6303-58-8] M 180.2, m 64", 65-66", 82-83", 99", b 180-185"/ 2mm, pK 3.17. It has been purified by recrystn from pet ether, C6H6, Et20-pet ether, EtOH and from H2O. It can be steam distd or distd in a good vac.
