Quino acridone

Reisch etal. (93JHC1469) obtained quino[n]acridone 6 as the main product from the condensation of phloroglucinol and 6-methylanthranilic acid (Scheme 2). The synthesis of similar quino[a]acridones from phloroglucinol and anthranilic acids has been reported in patents (35FRP771486). [Pg.91]

The acid-catalyzed conversion of 7V,Ai -bis(2 -carboxyphenyl)-l,3-diami-nobenzene to quino[3,2-h]acridone 45 has been described in a patent (64USP3124581). Kumar and Jain [79IJC(B)623] have reported the synthesis of the octahydroquinolino[h]quinoline 46 from the base-catalyzed condensation of A -benzoyldecahydroquinolin-7-one with 2-aminobenzal-dehyde. [Pg.99]
