Quasi-elastic neutron scattering temperature dependence

Severing et al. (1989b) performed inelastic neutron scattering experiments on a polycrystalline sample of CeRu2Si2 and report a linear temperature dependence of the quasi-elastic line width between 50 and 250 K. Below 50 K the magnetic response becomes Q-dependent and at 1.5 K the spectra are better fitted with a broad inelastic line (J 1-1.15 meV, depending on Q) than with a quasi-elastic line.
