Qband

Theoretically, the charge transfer can be studied by comparing the charge density gained from the band structure Qband with the charge density Qao- which is calculated by superposing the electronic densities of the free atoms without any charge relaxation. For the valence electrons of LiAl the difference pband Pao is plotted in Fig. 13 for the (110) plane.
