Pyrazomycin antiviral activity

Pyrazofurin (PF, 3-3 D-ribofuranosyl-4-hydroxypyrazol-5--carboxamide, Eli Lilly Compound 47599, formerly called Pyrazomycin) is a carbon-linked nucleoside (Fig. 1) isolated from the broth filtrates of a strain of Streptomyces candidus (1).
