COFj reacts with K[NCO] in a LiCI-KCl eutectic mixture at 400 C to give either CO(NCO)j or CO(NCO)F, according to conditions [1018,2111a]  [Pg.629]

Analogous reactions occur with K[NCS], yielding CO(NCS)j and CO(NCS)F [1018], and with K[CN] to produce only a small yield of CO(CN)j [2111a]. COFj will also react with an equimolar Na[SCN]-K[SCN] ionic liquid at 140 C to give low yields of CO(NCS)F [2111a]. [Pg.629]

A mixture of carbonyl difluoride and carbonyl diisocyanate will undergo a comproportionation reaction at 180 C, to give a 100% yield of the mixed product [1018]  [Pg.629]

A similar comproportionation reaction occurs between COFj and CO NCS)j at 50 C in an autoclave, producing CO(NCS)F in 64% yield [1018]. [Pg.629]

As for phosgene (see Section 9.4), the thermodynamic driving force for the following reactions is the elimination of carbon dioxide  [Pg.629]
