Other vegetative structures of lichens can change into soralia for instance, the isidia of some species ofFarme//a may become sorediate and the pseudo-cyphellae of Pseudocyphellaria can develop into soralia. This development is not always completed as, under these conditions, the relation between the symbionts sometimes appears disturbed.
