Protective covers

The developed method is used in eddy current defectoscopes like Zond VD used for detecting corrosion spots in the body of the plane through aluminium cover, cracks detecting in helicopter blades under dielectric covers up to 8-10 mm thick, in pipelines under protective covers up to 10 mm thick, etc... 

Where highly poHshed surfaces are manufactured or stored for short intervals between different phases of processing, relative humidity and temperature are both maintained constant to minimise surface moisture films. If these surfaces are shipped or stored for extended intervals, protective coverings or coatings may be required. 

Ja.cketingMa.teria.ls. Besides the metallic protective coverings (based on aluminum, copper and copper alloys, lead, steel, and zinc), the most popular jacketing materials are based on polymeric materials that can be either thermoplastic (with limited high temperature use) or thermosetting. 

Contact lenses can be subdivided further according to whether they are tinted and/or disposable and by the material from which they are formulated. The most usual forms of buried metal structures are pipelines, piles, tanks and power and telephone cables. Power cables must usually have some metal protection, covered by expensive continuous factory-applied sheathings of considerable thickness. Since water, gas and petroleum pipelines provide the greatest area of metal surfaces to be protected below ground, a detailed discussion of the protection given to them would appear to be the best means of dealing with coatings for underground use.

Once the grout materials have cured (dependent on grout composition and site conditions, but commonly approximately 24 h), a locking protective cover is installed in concrete over the top of the riser pipe. Abuse of laxatives can lead to a number of health problems, including imbalances in the levels of minerals (electrolytes) in the body, which can lead to dehydration, tremors, weakness, blurry vision, and kidney damage. Laxatives can also change the way nerve endings in the colon work, which can cause the laxative abuser to need more laxatives to have a bowel movement. Other problems with the digestive system that can result from laxative abuse include an increased risk of colon infection (resulting from a loss of the protective cover that lines the colon), rectal pain, gas, and severe constipation. Finally, laxative abuse may lead to both cancerous and noncancerous tumors in the bowel. 

The hardwired ESD activation means is usually a push in knob or button. Confirmed action of the push button should be always be required to manually activate the ESD system in order to prevent accidental activations.
