Pre-lab Preparation

Out-flow Reactant Preparation (to be Done during the Lab Period) 

Follow instructions 1-4 for inert technique given in Pre-lab 5.4 using the concentrations of reactants in Table 5.4. Stocks 1 and 3 are the reactant out-flow solutions. 

After completing step 5 of the inert technique instructions, let the reaction stir under a blanket of inert gas for 10 min. 

Cool the reaction mixture in ice and add 4 ml ice cold 6 M HC1 such that the reaction mixture has a pH 1. 

Add a small amount of SP-C-25 Sephadex resin to ddH20 to create a slurry of resin.
