This experiment is adapted from Girolami et al.,19 in which the theory behind the experiment is extensively detailed. We will cover only a portion of the binding analysis here. 

We will treat the successive pATas of the diprotic cysteine similarly, as two separate deprotonation events. We still have one more correction, however. Because pH meters measure H+ activity (uu+) and not H+ concentration, we must correct for this. The
