Potassium trioxalatogermanate is a white crystalline solid which decomposes at 180°, liberating carbon dioxide. It is very soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol, methanol, chloroform, and diethyl ether. The crystals are monoclinic with a = 9.89 A, b = 17.56 A, c = 14.95 A (all to 0.03 A), and = 68°. The density is 2.02 g./cc. at 20°. There are six molecular units per unit cell. [Pg.36]
