Portable air purifier

Protect yourself from places and situations that are unsafe by immediately walking away or wearing an MCS mask, a half- or full-face respiratory mask, or by wearing a helmet with a portable air purifier. See entry 274 for more information. 

If you are still working, it s a good idea to inform your boss and colleagues about MCS and try to cultivate understanding and respect for your situation, which won t be easy. Perhaps a move to a separate workspace is within the possibilities and you can place a portable air purifier there. You can also ask your colleagues not to enter your office if they... 

I don t leave the house much but when I do, I protect myself using my portable air purifier, hose and helmet (see photographs). Often I use only the motor with the hose, but in some situations the helmet is really necessary. 

The idea of combining an air line portable blower respirator and a filter respirator resulted in the powered air-purifying respirator. The development of this type of respirator was based on modification of respirators requiring tight-fitting systems or an enclosure with a portable continuous-flow air supply. 

For use in the field, a collective protector should be portable on muiur transportation and should be furnished in at least two sizes—one purifying sufficiont air for small gasproof shelters in the fonvard part of the combat area, and one purifying sufficient air for larger shelters in the rear ureas of the combat zone.
