Porphyrazine structures complexes

With the purpose of further increasing the number of adjustable photochromic parameters of the subunit, a binuclear metal complexe of porphyrazine bearing six bis(trimethylthiophenyl) functionalities at the periphery was synthesized in our laboratory [40] (Scheme 12). The structure of binuclear porphyrazine was rigidly constrained in a coplanar arrangement with extended n-conjugated subunits. 

In view of the potential appHcation of metal porphyrazine complexes as catalysts for various oxidation reactions (45), much attention has been focused on the mechanistic investigations involving the activation of small molecules such as O2, NO, CO, and CO2 by these macrocychc systems. Since the electronic and structural properties of the porphyrazine l%and differ significantly from that of porphyrin rings, the relevant question is if changes in the macrocycle Hgand wiU be reflected in the mechanism of nitric... 

Besides porphyrins, cocrystallates of Ceo were also found with porphyrazines, as another representative of the diverse family of Mr-extended macrocyclic complexes. They reveal interesting supramolecular structures while, for copper (II) a Cy-symmetric sandwich...
