Polysilanes, hyperbranched

Polysilane hyperbranched polymers containing Si atoms connected to three and four other Si atoms were prepared. Copolymers made from RSiCl3 (R = n-hexyl, Ph and Me) and MePhSiCl2 resemble hybrid materials of polysi-lyne and polysilanes [75]. [Pg.225]

A wide range of other monomer units have been employed in the synthesis of hyperbranched macromolecules and the range of structures obtained is nearly as diverse as those for dendritic macromolecules. For example, hyperbranched polyphenylenes [93], polyesters [104, 107-109], polyethers [110-112], polyamides [113], polysilanes [114], polyetherketones [100], polycarbazoles [115], etc. [116-118] have been prepared. Interestingly, a number of groups have also used growth processes other than condensation chemistry to prepare hyper-... [Pg.154]

Actually, species 9.10 and 9.11 are more complex than the structures shown. They are, in fact, hyperbranched polysilanes of the types shown in 9.12, which are soluble in hydrocarbons and are sufficiently stable to moisture that they can be handled in air. [Pg.322]
