Polypyrrole metal-phthalocyanine

Transition metal compounds, such as organic macrocycles, are known to be good electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction. Furthermore, they are inactive for alcohol oxidation. Through examples of new catalyst of this class could be mentioned polymeric complexes such as Co-polypyrrole complex [13], Mn-polypyrol-phthalocyanine complex [14], Co(II)-tetrasulphophtalophthalocyanine complex [17]. Anionic metal complexes, such as tetrasulfophthalocyanine or disulfoferrocene, can be incorporated from solution during the oxidative eleetro-chemical polymerization of pyrrole [24-27].
