Polymer of Acetylacetone Peroxide

Polymer of Acetylacetone Peroxide A53-R Polynitroalcohols, Ammonia Derivatives of A306-L... [Pg.689]

Anhydride manufactured by acetic acid pyrolysis sometimes contains ketene polymers, eg, acetylacetone, diketene, dehydroacetic acid, and particulate carbon, or soot, is occasionally encountered. Polymers of aHene, or its equilibrium mixture, methylacetylene—aHene, are reactive and refractory impurities, which if exposed to air, slowly autoxidize to dangerous peroxidic compounds. [Pg.79]

Polymeric VO(II) acetylacetonates are effective in the selective oxidation of anthracene by hydrogen peroxide to anthraquinone (up to 85%) in ethylacetate solution at 293-345 K. In spite of the fact that polymer-immobilized catalysts possess a high catalase-like activity in the decomposition of H2O2 [138] it has been proposed [125] that such metallopolymers may be valuable in the industrial catalytic oxidation of anthracene. [Pg.552]
