Polyhydroxybutyrate stabilization

In synthetically produced polymers, biodegradability is achieved by reducing the stabilizer content and/or addition of initiators that accelerate biodegradation. Materials in this group include, for example, PHB (polyhydroxybutyrate) and PLA (polylactic acid) [9].
