The number of possible polyhedra is shown in Table 7.3. The minor diagonals represent polyhedra of equal number of edges. Note that the minor diagonal is symmetric. 

Observe the similarity of the polyhedral formula with the phase rule. We emphasize that the analogy to the phase rule to the polyhedral formula is emerging just for the three-dimensional case.
