The effect of the incorporation of minerals into polymer formulations is exemplified in Table 5.12, which lists the physical properties of virgin polydiallyl phthalate and the mineral-filled polymer. The only benefits of incorporating minerals are improvement in flow properties and a more uniform shrinkage, that is, lower warpage.
