Polycarbamic esters

Polycaprolactone diol Polycaprolate Polycarbamic esters Polycarbonate... [Pg.778]

The hydroxyl groups can be esterified normally the interesting diacrylate monomer (80) and the biologicaky active haloacetates (81) have been prepared in this manner. Reactions with dibasic acids have given polymers capable of being cross-linked (82) or suitable for use as soft segments in polyurethanes (83). Polycarbamic esters are obtained by treatment with a diisocyanate (84) or via the bischloroformate (85). [Pg.106]

Polyurethanes are also called polycarbamates (esters of the carbamic acid R-NH-COOH) and can be viewed as amido-esters of carbonic acid HO-CO-OH. [Pg.242]

In another example, the third generation of isocyanate-based dendrons was used to regioselectively react with primary alcohols of cellulose and form den-drimerized cellulose polycarbamate (Fig. 6.20). To obtain modified cellulose/ CdS composites, the terminal ester groups of the dendronized cellulose were cleaved using formic add to generate the [(H02C)27-Den]-cellulose]. [Pg.183]
