Polyarylamide temperature

Polyarylamides Thermoplastic crystalline polymers of aromatic diamines and aromatic dicarboxylic anhydrides. Has good heat, fire, and chemical resistance, property retention at high temperatures, dielectric and mechanical properties, and stiffness, but poor light resistance and processibility. Processed by solution casting, molding, and extrusion. Used in films, fibers, and molded parts. [Pg.204]

Copolymers of phosphazene and polyarylamides (6) were prepared by a condensation process. The presence of the phosphazene core stabilised the polymers as seen in higher char yield upon thermal decomposition. Interestingly, the glass transition temperature (Tg) decreases with increasing phosphazene content. [Pg.373]
