Photostability of Fulgides

We present here a summary of what has so far been published on the thermal stability and photostability of fulgides. 

Many fulgides undergo a range of irreversible reactions, including [l,5]-hydrogen shifts (330), photochemical [1,3]-hydrogen shifts, and oxidation to naphthalene.
